A patriotic tourism event titled “Young Tourists: In the Footsteps of a Hero” was held in the Karaganda region.
The participants included schoolchildren, young athletes, and their coaches. The group climbed Mount Soran, located near Karaganda, and ascended the peak named after Baurzhan Momyshuly. At the summit, the participants learned about the life and heroic deeds of the legendary batyr.
The program included:
– A hike and ascent to the summit;
– A historical talk about the hero;
– Outdoor sports training;
– Practical exercises with elements of mountain tourism.
The instructors were members of the Karaganda Mountain Sports Club “Skif” and the Regional Tourism Club.
The purpose of the event:
To foster patriotic values among youth, promote mountain tourism, and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
At the end of the event, everyone enjoyed a delicious outdoor lunch — a warm finale to a bright and memorable day.
