In the first half of 2025, the region showed impressive growth in the tourism sector:
The number of serviced tourists increased by 29.2% compared to the same period last year — nearly 194,000 people.
By international visitors:
The largest number of foreign tourists came from: Russia (4,038 people), Uzbekistan (326 people), China (1,734 people), Turkey (310 people), and Germany (290 people).
The volume of services provided reached almost 4.0 billion tenge, marking an 8.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The total accommodation capacity increased by 12%, reaching 14,607 beds.

Temirtau — 177%
Shet District — 226%
Abai District — 233%
Karkaralinsky District — 128%
Aktogay District — 122%
The Karaganda Region is strengthening its status as a tourism hub of Central Kazakhstan — attracting both local residents and international guests!
