      November 13, 2023

It should be recalled that the paintings of Karaganda artists andauthors of the creative association "Artists to the Masses" were recentlypresented in the "Terrikon Valley" (12Alalykin Street). The exhibition entitled "Art in Colors" lasted about four hours and was organized by the Center for Urban Studies in cooperation with partners.

At the evening of the exhibition "Art in Colors", guests of the "Terrikon Valley" not only saw and studied paintings, but also saw more than 60 paintings by about twenty authors, as well as met artists, tasted author's cheeses and theme cocktails, and enjoyed several types of tea. Admission to the exhibition was free for everyone. By the way, the guests drew themselves: for this purpose, an additional easel with brushes and paints was installed in the center.

At the urbanist center, Gilar says that such events are necessary for both art lovers and the city as a whole. Their advantageisin communication, acquaintance and, as a result, in the opportunity to purchase paintings by Karaganda authors and decorate their interior.

"Such events help to create a positive image of the city through creative and cultural initiatives, that is, through art exhibitions. This is important not only for attracting new residents and businesses, but also for improving the self-awareness of the local population. In general, the development of creative clusters and the organization of exhibitions are important steps to strengthen the cultural and social structure of the city. They reflect its uniqueness and attractiveness. It is worth noting that the expositions will help create a unique urban identity, as well as reveal local talents and styles. The diversity and attractiveness of the urban environment is evident for both local residents and visitors," Valeria Khasueva, head of the Urban Studies Center, later shared.
