They were brought to Karaganda from Armenia. In the wild, mangobeys live in Africa. Two females and one male have settled in our zoo. The Himalayan bear was recently introduced.

According to the head of the zoo, in the future, other zoosн will need to find a pair for the bear. They also promised to add exotic llamas and mountain goats to the zoo in the near future.
Last year, the Karaganda Zoo became a member of the Eurasian Regional Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EARAZA). This organization includes Russia, China, Turkey, Germany, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Belarus, Uzbekistan and other countries. Participation in the community expands opportunities for sharing animals and experiences with colleagues from other countries. Today, the zoo's collection includes more than 180 species of animals and about 1,600 individuals. Many of them are listed in the Red Book.
